Mongata Estate Tastings at the Vineyard

$20 Per Person

Settle in for an hour & half of tasting our Estate wines, always served with small noms to pair. We offer seated covered spaces inside and outside at the Winery located in the middle of the vineyard. One tasting fee is waived with wine purchase.

BARN: Fully covered inside seating in the remodeled Winery Barn with a casual boho style. The 102-year-old Barn is open and airy with full shade. 4 seating areas. 2-6 persons

BARN PATIO: Choose from one of our outside areas, 3 pergola or patio tables with umbrellas. Our outdoor pergolas accommodate 2-8 guests, while our patio tables are best suited for 2-4 guests.

PAYMENT: You will be charged at the time of your visit. The subtotal will read $0 on checkout as no payment is due up-front.

Private Picnics In the vineyard

A unique opportunity for a private picnic in the vineyard! Choose from 4 vineyard settings and head out with your basket. Each has a bottle of MONGATA wine paired with a select picnic box and a bottle of oxygen water for a relaxing agricultural wine adventure. Chairs or blankets  provided for the visit. GF and Vegan available.  

Although we love kids, because we are a working vineyard farm we are not able to allow children on any of the  vineyard picnic experiences. A portion of the price of each vineyard experience goes toward sustainability in the vineyard and our planet.

Syrah Heaven

$155 for two adults

Gorgeous views on the edge of the Blue Mountain wilderness and our valley. Block E of the vineyard is the home of MONGATA 100% Estate Syrah, our Estate Reserve Syrah and other award winning Syrahs.  

Price includes a wine tasting prior, vineyard picnic basket, and bottle of 2021 Block E Mongata Estate Syrah. Check-in at 11:30am, with a wine tasting provided prior to the picnic.

Reservation Note: Each 1 “Guest” is equivalent to 2 adults. For a Syrah Heaven reservation for two adults, leave “No of Guests” as 1 when making your reservation online.

The River Speaks

$144 for two adults | $288 for four adults | $443 for six adults

You may feel like you are of another time as you relax along the grassy shore of the Walla Walla River at Block D. Birds singing, river gurgling, picnic going and wine of the land to share. This is a profound place to relax in the  vineyard. It could change your weekend. 

Prepared for 2-6 persons. Includes a wine tasting prior and picnic baskets with a bottle of our wine for every 2 adults. $144 for 2 adults: 1 bottle of 2020 Estate Cabernet. $288 for 4 adults: 2 bottles of 2020 Estate Cabernet. $443 for 6 adults: 2 bottles of 2020 Estate Cabernet and 1 bottle of 2021 Block E Mongata Estate Syrah. Check-in at 11:30am, with a wine tasting provided prior to the picnic.

FAQ

Are children welcome?
A: Yes we welcome children! On regular business days for tastings and hosted events when children are accompanied by an adult, we encourage settling in certain areas, although we request that they not be part of any of the vineyard picnic experiences or leave designated areas. We are very careful to maintain the safety and health of our vines and surrounding areas, and it is easier for children to stay productive near the patio or game areas. We have coloring pages and pencils or crayons available too.

Are Dogs Welcome?
Dogs are welcome, and must be on a leash without exception. We have a designated area for poopies which keeps the vineyard nice and shiny. Note: We have 2 great pyrenees males who roam the property freely and provide protection day and night. Although it may seem paradoxical that our dogs are not on leash, they are working dogs who we feel are extremely safe with others including children. But we can not be sure that all dogs will accept each other all of the time. If you think that your pooch might have second thoughts about our Pyrs roaming, please let us know in advance.

Can I bring my RV or motor home?
Because we are a working vineyard, we are not able to host RV’s or motor homes of any size on the property. However if you are traveling through the area, we have options! We recommend staying at Harris Park, and visiting us by foot, bike or car. You can check with us for possible delivery opportunities as well. 

Is there anything else to do on the property?
We have a walking trail that leads past vineyard blocks and to the river. On some occasions we have outside games like Cornhole and Horseshoe. Board games and books are available.

Is there food available? Can I bring outside food/picnic?
For many reasons, we ask guests to leave home any snacks or lunch and honor our policy of no outside foods. We offer nicely paired items that can be purchased for reasonable prices. We offer charcuterie, cheese plates and GF/vegetarian pastry options for sale during your visit.

Where are you located?
We are just over 5 miles from the Milton Freewater Safeway on the road to Harris Park. We are a 10-20 minute drive from Walla Walla, depending.
